The instrument appears to be almost all original, with Guild ‘mini Anti-Hum’ pickups, G-cutout harp tailpiece and original pickguard, but the tuning machines have been swapped for high quality early Grover models. Controls for 2x volume, 2x tone and a pickup selector switch.
The instrument has been remarkably well cared for and has little beyond very light players’ wear and small scratches as pictured. No significant dings or gouges, and no known significant repairs. The frets have some pitting which does not currently impact playability, but are also still tall with plenty of life remaining. The action is very low, the neck is quite thin and playability is impressive with a careful setup.
A huge bonus is the inclusion of a 1950s Gretsch hardshell case which fits the Guild snugly, and is in perfect structural and very good cosmetic condition. Hundreds of dollars in value in the case alone.
